Martha Bishop, LGBT Networks General Manager, said: Were thrilled the local safety advisory group has agreed to allow us to hold Pride on a Saturday this year, rather than a Sunday. The Parade route will remain through the heart of the city centre, and the festival promises to be bigger and better than ever. The event will be officially opened by the Mayor of Wolverhampton, with gay and human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell once again leading the carnival parade through the city centre.
