Opening Event: Screening of PRIDE (2014, dir. Matthew Warchus)

Realizing that they share common foes in Margaret Thatcher, the police and the conservative press, London-based gays and lesbians lend their support to striking coal miners in 1984 Wales. Followed by Q&A with Jonathan Blake, member of Lesbians & Gays Support the Miners and a major character in the film. The event is free to attend, but registration is required and guests must bring their tickets.
