Exposed: The Naked Portrait

The naked human figure has been a preoccupation of art from prehistory to the present day. This cross-period display of unclothed portraits from the Collection raises questions about identity and gender, the real and ideal. It includes portraits ranging from the flirtatious royal mistress Nell Gwyn to the interrogation of nudity by contemporary artists.
