The largest gay choir in Europe delight with an evening of songs ranging from pop hits to showtunes. To close the Being a Man festival, the London Gay Men's Chorus (LGMC) presents UGotMale? a thought-provoking and uplifting show that explores, celebrates and challenges masculinity, and commemorates the 25th anniversary of the chorus. Featuring new arrangements including songs by Michael Jackson, Take That and Alice Cooper, as well as numbers from Dreamgirls, West Side Story and La Cage Aux Folles, UGotMale? promises to be a surprising, stimulating and above all memorable show. The LGMC is no ordinary choir. With over 200 members, it is the largest gay choir in Europe, that aims to entertain, educate and inspire through song. Performances combine some well-known songs and surprising choices with choreography to make every show something special for the audience. The LGMC also works with schools and youth groups to combat homophobia, through musical workshops to teach a small number of uplifting songs, working towards a performance at an assembly or event. Throughout the workshops the message promoted is respect for all, regardless of background.
