Musician, journalist, Church of England priest, BBC radio presenter and one of this years superb contestants on Strictly Come Dancing, the Reverend Richard Coles life has been one of surprising variety. He first came to public attention as the multi-instrumentalist who partnered Jimmy Somerville in the 1980s band The Communards. He is now the regular host of BBC Radio 4s Saturday Live. Since leaving The Communards, Richard has been appointed as a parish priest in Northamptonshire. Richard charts his pilgrimage from a sheltered middle-England upbringing to Londons gay scene, through a rock n roll lifestyle of sex and drugs, as well as surviving the bands tours and tantrums, to a life devoted to God and Christianity.
